About Little Folk Inc
We are a Perth based children's cancer charity, who focus our fundraising efforts in music and the arts. We run concerts, dinner shows, dances and festivals throughout the year, and all funds raised go to children’s cancer research at Perth Children’s Hospital. The charity has no paid collectors or employees. Having lost good friends to cancer, Perth music-lovers the Kenny family and a few others decided to do something about it. The result was Little Folk Inc., a registered West Australian charity managed by the Kenny family. Over the years, mostly through the generosity and assistance of international, interstate and WA performers, Little Folk have raised over $270,000.00 for children's cancer research, mainly through house concerts and their annual Folk in the Forest festival. |
Little folk are extremely proud to advise that our contributions to Perth Children's Hospital Foundation (previously Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation) exceeded a quarter of a million dollars in November 2022.
We were thrilled to welcome Caitlyn from the Foundation to Folk in the Forest 2022 where we celebrated this significant milestone. From humble beginnings with a very small group of people running a series of house concerts and dances in memory of a good friend to an organization hosting monthly (and more) events throughout the year. These include Supper Clubs and concerts featuring music and spoken word performers selected from the best of Australia's talent, as well as our annual Folk in the Forrest festival - the highlight of our annual calendar, now in its 19th year. Watch this space for announcements to join us at Factory Concerts and more in 2024. |
